34 mm Mishimoto MX-5 NC Performance Radiator

The smiling front bumper of the MX-5 NC is iconic, but it has a functional drawback: it doesn’t allow for a massive amount of direct airflow to the cooling system. When you are pushing your NC to its limit on a hot track day, autocross course, or tight canyon roads, the factory cooling system quickly reaches its limits. To make matters worse, the stock radiator relies on crimped plastic end tanks that become brittle with age and heat-cycling, threatening to split when you least want it to.

The Mishimoto NC performance aluminium radiator replaces that fragile stock unit with a bulletproof, high-efficiency cooling upgrade.

By upgrading to this radiator, you are massively expanding your car’s thermal capacity. Mishimoto engineered this unit with a 34 mm thick, 100% brazed aluminium core – making it 112% thicker than the stock radiator. The numbers speak for themselves:

Important NC Fitment Notes:

• No Radiator Cap Included: Unlike the NA and NB chassis, the NC uses a pressurized expansion tank system. Therefore, the radiator itself does not feature a filler neck or cap.
• Check Condenser Clearance: Factory A/C condenser alignments can vary slightly from car to car. When installing any thick aftermarket radiator in an NC, always double-check the clearance between the radiator core and the condenser brackets to ensure they do not rub against each other over time.
