50 mm Mishimoto MX-5 Performance Radiator

Properly cooling your MX-5 is an absolute priority, whether you are carving through mountain roads or pushing hard on a track day. While the factory Mazda radiator did a fine job straight out of the factory, time is its biggest enemy. The stock plastic end tanks turn brown, get brittle, and eventually crack – leaving you stranded with a blown radiator.

Upgrading to a Mishimoto performance aluminium radiator solves this permanently. Designed as a direct bolt-in upgrade, this radiator provides a massive increase in coolant capacity and drastically improves heat dissipation. It features a lightweight, two-row brazed aluminium core and TIG-welded aluminium end tanks, removing the risk of plastic failure entirely.

Whether you are running a mildly modified naturally aspirated setup or throwing your car around on hot track days, this radiator will keep your temperatures stable. To further raise the boiling point of your engine coolant, Mishimoto includes a 1.3 bar high-pressure radiator cap, giving you a safer margin of error during spirited driving. It also comes standard with a magnetic drain plug to catch any metallic debris circulating in your cooling system.

The radiator is a direct replacement with no cutting or modifications needed. It is designed to fit cars with manual transmissions only. You can bolt up your original factory cooling fans, or upgrade to an aftermarket fan shroud for maximum airflow.

Please note: The included magnetic drain plug features a rubber seal and should be tightened by hand to finger-tight only to prevent thread damage.
