TEIN Flex Z coilovers are an affordable, street-focused suspension upgrade designed to improve handling without sacrificing ride comfort. With adjustable ride height and 16-step damping adjustment, they allow you to fine-tune your Miata for daily driving, spirited road use, or occasional track days.

The Flex Z features a sealed twin-tube damper design, which reduces production costs while maintaining excellent ride quality. The twin-tube construction provides a longer stroke for improved comfort, smoothing out bumps and road imperfections without compromising stability at speed. Unlike monotube dampers, a twin-tube damper is less likely to be rendered inoperable by minor external damage, as small dents to the outer cylinder do not interfere with piston movement – an advantage in demanding real-world driving conditions.

Thread-type ride height adjustment makes it easy to set anything from a practical street setup to a low, aggressive stance. Pillowball top mounts are included to improve steering response and handling precision.

Each kit is equipped with TEIN No-Sag springs made from cold-formed SAE9254 steel, ensuring consistent ride height over time. High-performance damper oil with anti-foaming properties maintains reliable damping across a wide temperature range. Corrosion-resistant coating and TEIN’s ZT-coated adjustment threads ensure long-term durability and smooth adjustment.

Twin-tube coilovers are best suited for street-driven cars that see limited competition use. They handle spirited driving on typical road surfaces very well, though they are generally less consistent under prolonged track abuse compared to monotube designs.
