While the NB chassis is a more refined evolution of the original MX-5, it suffers from the same inevitable reality: rubber components don’t stay precise forever. After two decades, the factory bushings have softened and the steering rack mounts have likely developed enough play to let the rack “wander” slightly under load.

We’ve curated the Front End Precision Kit for the NB to eliminate that vague, disconnected feeling in the steering. By replacing the compliant factory rubber with polyurethane and reinforcing the thin mounting tabs of the sway bar, we’re creating a front end that responds exactly when and how you tell it to.

• Front Axle Polyurethane Bush Kit – Replaces the tired rubber in your control arms to keep your suspension geometry fixed under high cornering loads.
  • Two stiffness options: 80 ShA for a balanced street car, or 90 ShA for a dedicated track build where zero deflection is the priority.
  • ARB Compatibility: We provide the correct bush size for your specific Anti-Roll Bar (available in 15 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm, 24 mm, or 27 mm).
  • Longevity: These won’t “set” or perish like rubber, ensuring your alignment stays true for years of driving.

• PU Steering Rack Bushings – This is a critical upgrade for the NB that isn’t available for the NA. These bushings secure the steering rack directly to the subframe.
  • Eliminate rack “walk”: Stops the steering rack from sliding left or right before it starts moving the wheels.
  • Two stiffness options: Choose 80 ShA for better feedback without excessive vibration, or 90 ShA for the most direct, “manual” steering feel possible.
  • Result: A much tighter center-point and more communicative feedback through the steering wheel.

• Sway Bar Brace Kit – The NB’s factory sway bar mounts are still a weak point, prone to flexing or snapping when pushed hard—especially if you’ve upgraded to a thicker bar.
  • Boxing the mounts: Uses a powder-coated steel cross-brace and CNC-machined aluminum blocks to reinforce the factory tabs.
  • Direct response: Ensures the sway bar actually twists rather than the mounts bending, resulting in flatter, more stable cornering.

• High-Strength Alignment Bolts – The factory eccentric bolts on the NB are notorious for seizing into the bushings, making a proper alignment impossible without a sawzall.
