While the NB chassis is a more refined evolution of the original MX-5, it suffers from the same inevitable reality: rubber components don’t stay precise forever. After two decades, the factory bushings have softened and the steering rack mounts have likely developed enough play to let the rack “wander” slightly under load.

- PU Steering Rack Bushings – This is a critical upgrade for the NB that isn’t available for the NA. These bushings secure the steering rack directly to the subframe.
- Eliminate rack “walk”: Stops the steering rack from sliding left or right before it starts moving the wheels.
- Two stiffness options: Choose 80 ShA for better feedback without excessive vibration, or 90 ShA for the most direct, “manual” steering feel possible.
- Result: A much tighter center-point and more communicative feedback through the steering wheel.
