Can’t find a way to mount your sport bucket seats to your Mazda MX-5 Mk1 (NA) or Mk2 (NB/NBFL)? Search no more – our seat mounts fit dozens of race seats!
Developed specifically for MX-5 with optimized lightweight construction – just 1.8 kg (4 lbs) per set of mounts while still compliant with FIA requirements. By offering 36 available seat positions these will enable you to sit safely and comfortably regardless of your height.
Designed for use with the existing seat mounting holes, made from 3 mm structural steel. Finished in matte black powder coating.
Please note these are quite low as the MX-5 floor bolts are themselves raised quite high, so in case your seat has the bolt holes placed higher than 70 mm (2.7 inch) from the ground, get in touch with us first to make sure you’ll be able to fit them.
The list of compatible seats consists of the ones that have been proven to fit. They could, however, fit other seats that we have not tried yet. If you successfully fitted unlisted types of seats with our mounts, please don’t hesitate to contact us so we can update the list and help other fellow MX-5 owners.
Seat mounts have holes to accommodate NB/NBFL seat belt mount (depending on your seat, attaching the seat mount might require additional fabrication). Not required for NA (Mk1).
On NB (Mk2) and NBFL (Mk2.5) cars the left side (UK passenger side, EU driver side) has a bump on the transmission tunnel that requires flattening – can be done with a hammer and will not cause any issues with the exhaust.

Bought some skidnation rails on recommendation. A shedload easier to install and far better scope for adjustment!

Bought these when they were made availible a long time ago. They are still going strong, many, many years later. Really well made, and easy to fit, also very slim fitting so are not an hindrance around the seat. Seats you really low!
On the lowest position my butt literally touches the floor pan. So I have to have them on the middle position to be able to fit eyelets for my racing harness.
I had to trim them down a bit in the front though, to get my seat to fit as far back as I would like it. I am a tall dude, and have the seat almost touching the rear wall. I have a Sparco Rev.
No big deal, and I see there is now 2 versions offered for different height drivers, which there was not when I ordered these.
Also had to trim a bit of from the top, to avoid my lapbelts touching them, but not everyone has a 6-point racing harness I guess.
Very much recommend these to fit a bucket seat in your Miata!

I used these in my race car left hand drive mk1 to mount a pair of OMP TRS-E race seats. The seats went in without issue, however I am 195 cm tall, so I had to hammer away the handbrake bulge on the transmission tunnel to move the seat centrally to the steering wheel axis and I had to remove the rear mounting bulges from the floor and mount the rails directly to the floor (with FIA spec backing plates). In the process I had to also cut a small part from the front of the rails to better suit a wider lower base of OMP TRS-E. Overall because of my height the mounts had to be modified substantially, but still they fit super nicely in the end. Highly recommend!
